David Guerrero is me, the one that writes this website y the one that shows his pictures, stories, and papers with the hope that they can be of help, inspiration, or at least, in the best case, just for a bit of fun.

What can I say about me?

I'm one of the few lucky people that can say that is in the Internet since the old days. It's something about being in the right place at the right time. In early 1992, I was dealing with the last subjects of my studies, when I began to contribute to the computer labs in the UPM. Fortune made that a group of people gathered around these terminals, with common interests. We shared the excitation of seing, every day, changing technology, new standards, improved applications, in short, the brewing of what in a couple of years would be a mass social phenomenom. Most of these people are now far away of the univesity world, but anyhow, we still keep in touch, and now conform one of my main group of friends. They are my colegas.

Professionally, I've gone through all kind of jobs, good and bad, but from all of them I've learned some good lessons. From bearer in the Rastro, patient care in a hospital, INEM (unemployeds) teacher, etc. I was lucky enough to work in Telecinco during its first days, where for a couple of years, I shared good moments with excellent workmates. More for a coincidence than for personal struggle, I joined the Public Administration, where I have worked in a couple of ministries, and the balance couldn't be better: I have the good fortune of working in the areas that interest me the most: Internet, networks, systems, security, etc... and continue learning every day with the help of a dream team.

In the personal arena, I share my nights, part of my days and most of my illusions with Yolanda, the human being that complements and encourage me every day to improve and to be a better person.

Hobbies. I've been always interested in music and movies. Who knows me well can say that I'm a compulsive consumer of both. Nowadays I've beginning to read some books, that for some reason (I suppose something to do with education system) was an uresolved matter.

Now, my two absolute passions are travel and photography. What can I say about travel? Anyone that has experienced this feeling of freedom and adventure when you land in a distant country with lots of places and people to discover, knows what I mean. The interest for photography grew from the need to immortalize these moments. With time and study, I have understood the deep of this art and the endless possibilities as a form of expression. Nowadays, I carry my camera all the time in my backpack, just in case one of these moments happens... As they say, if the inspiration visits me, I wish it takes me working.

In the weblogs world entered unexpectedly, when I realised, very late to be honest, the incredible movement that is growing as an alternative new form of expression, in all the fields: information, technology, art. In this area, is fair to acknowledge here the influence of some sites I visit everyday like Microsiervos, Escolar.NET, Ugarte (Guerra Eterna en Oriente Medio), Grey Expectations, Mo(nu)ments, etc...
